Head’s Blog – 14th May 2021
Lots of creativity taking place at school this week. As one of our curriculum drivers it is important to us that the children have time to express their creativity.
One of our other curriculum drivers is to experience adventures, one of the things that we do weekly with Oak class is to go on Welly Walk. Before each walk we learn about a particular aspect of nature, this week was the life cycle of the butterfly, then we go for a walk. Sometimes, we continue the theme so this week, looking out for signs of butterflies or other times we just play. So much learning takes place when playing. This week the children chose to make their own posies of wild flowers, many of which were presented to parents at the end of the day.
