Head’s Blog – 10th September 2021
What a start to the Autumn term – the hottest weather we have had since we broke up in July! It is great to have sunshine as it means the children can get outside and play with their friends, even if it meant trying to stay in the shade for PE – as you can see the photographs below. We have welcomed lots of new children to our school across different year groups and now have 54 on roll. This is 19 more than when I started in 2017 which shows what a great team of people we have at Clearwell, all working together to get the best outcomes for our children. We do have spaces in Reception, year 2, year 3 and year 5 if anyone is interested in joining us. With only 17 children in a class for the majority of the week the children get personalised learning to support their individual needs.
On Welly Walk we needed to stay in the shade because it was 28 degrees! All of our new Reception showed us that they could climb over the stile and these parents will have received a montage of their first week from the fabulous Mrs Griffiths, supported by Miss Warr, Mrs Knight and Abby, who goes over and above to help the children settle into school. All of Oak class loved climbing the tree!

Hopefully you will have received a copy of our Newsletter today which details the key events for the term and our first fundraiser of the year. Teri Chance Boutiques is hosting a fashion show for us on 8th October. The full details can be found here: http://www.clearwellprimaryschool.co.uk/newsletters-2018-2019/.
