Head’s Blog – 5th April

We have had a strange week in school, starting with our Easter Service on Monday, early because we wanted our whole school community to be part of it. Thank you to Friends who organised an Easter Egg hunt and made sure that every child got an egg, they also raised an amazing £93 on the raffle, so thank you to all parents that donated prizes and bought tickets.

Then with the year 5 and 6 being on residential and the surprising snow day. The year 3 and 4 children have had a wonderful week, their behaviour has been incredible. They were particularly amazing on Welly Walk when they went with Oak class. Mrs Griffiths commented on how supportive they were of each other and how well they all played together. It is so lovely to get back from a meeting to be told how amazing they have all been. They also made Easter Bonnets with Mr Gazzard and had a parade today.

Year 5 & 6 residential – Morfa Bay

Miss Cecil has reported that they children had a wonderful experience at Morfa Bay. They showed great resilience when faced with challenges, especially when it was really cold and snowing. Here are a few photographs of their experiences and I hope that I will get some reports written by them to share with you all. I am extremely proud of one of our Y6 boys who won the award for the best boy of the week. Well done!

Goodbye and thank you

We said goodbye to our trainee Miss Hek today. She has had a huge impact in the small time that she was been with us and we all wish her every success in her future career, any school will be lucky to have her.
