What a cold week we have had! I admired the Year 5 children who completed their Bikeability training at the start of the week. They did really well, especially as I was told that GCC usually only allow year 6 children to do this. Ooops! A photograph will follow next week after the certificates have been presented.
We have welcomed Miss Molly Hek to work at Clearwell as a student teacher in Oak class. Please give her a warm welcome, she is in her final year of her degree and I am confident that she will bring lots of qualities to our school.
Whilst talking of staff, some of you will have seen our advertisement for a TA in Oak class. Unfortunately, Miss Parsley, who started in January, has the opportunity to move back to London to be close to her family. She has told us how much she loves Clearwell and how sad she is to be leaving at the end of February. We understand her reasons, thank her for the work that she is doing with the children and wish her well.
Enjoy the snow day and I hope that it hasn’t caused too much inconvenience for people. It is an agonising decision to make when closing school, especially when main road appear clear, however, I am conscious that it is getting to these main roads that can cause problems. Keeping everyone safe is my main priority.
