Head’s Blog – 25th July 2018

Well our school year has ended and I cannot express how grateful I am to all of you for your on-going support for Clearwell.  For those that attended our Leavers’ service, you will have seen what wonderful children our school helps to nurture. Our four year 6 children planned their service independently and delivered it with expertise.  They are an absolute credit to their families and to themselves.  They spoke and sang beautifully and managed to hold themselves together, unlike some staff and parents who got rather emotional!  I am not surprised as I have only known this wonderful people for a year and had to hold back the tears. I am so proud of them all.

Our wonderful year 6

We also said farewell to Sarah Kemp, a governor who has supported Clearwell for 18 years.  Margaret Ralph read out a wonderful tribute to her that had been written by Teri Chance.  It was incredible to hear how many roles Sarah has had at Clearwell and how she has helped us to grow.  Thank you Sarah, we all would like to thank you and wish you well as you spend more time with your family and business.

Thank you and good luck to Miss Harris who has been acting as a PPA teacher and TA since May.  She has worked tirelessly to revolutionise our KS1 and EYFS areas.  We wish her well as she takes up her post at Offa’s Mead.  They are lucky to have her.

Our Celebrations

I hope that you have a fabulous summer holiday. If you shop at Tescos in Coleford and Lydney over the holidays, we would appreciate it if you would ask for the blue tokens and put into the Clearwell section.
