Head’s Blog – 22nd September 2017

Our after school clubs have been popular and we are fortunate to have a specialist sports coach working with all of our children.  We really want to increase our participation in The Gloucestershire School Games. The school house lawn is a good flat space on the school grounds that we can use when the sun is out, which unfortunately isn’t enough of the year.  We are planning on getting an all-weather surface put down when funds allow. If there is anyone who are in a position to host a fundraising event, gain sponsorship from a company or the provide the equipment to help us out with please contact me on head@clearwell.gloucs.sch.uk. Thank you.

Head’s Blog – 15th September 2017

The children have settled into their learning really well.  We have been carrying out Base Line assessments with all of the children and we will use this information to plan lessons and interventions.  If your child is on a MyPlan then it will be used, together with class teacher observations, to evaluate the existing plan and developing a new one.  We hope to have the meetings by the end of September with parents.

Advance notice: Harvest Festival – Thursday 19th October at 2:00 p.m.

Celebrations for this week

Head’s blog – 8th September 2017

We have had a wonderful first week back and I am sure that your children are tired out, I know that I am!  We are in the process of putting together ‘dates for the diary’ and Mrs Frith is nearly there with the ‘Ourschool’ app. As I am teaching two days a week, we have decided that the Head’s award will be issued once a term. The Stars and Top Table will continue as they are. The former, one child from each class and then the Top Table will be two children from each class on a weekly basis.

The Reception children have settled into Oak class so well. We were all impressed with the ease at which they joined in with the other children and to school life.

Here are this week’s celebrations.
